Welcome to the Deer Park United Methodist Church

STATEMENT OF FAITH
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." - John 3:16

All are welcome, and we are glad you're here!

We've been waiting for you, it's true! We believe that every person who comes into the circle of this special fellowship was sent by God. So, above all else, we want to express Christ's love for you with genuine, heartfelt warmth. We're eager to know you and excited to share with you the marvelous ways God is working in our church.

It won't take long to discover that this is truly a family, rich in the relationships that matter most. We grow together, we worship, we serve, we laugh, we cry, and we learn.

So come as you are and join us for worship every Sunday at 10 a.m. Be sure to stay a bit after the service for coffee and refreshments in our Fellowship Hall.

SETTLERS DAY PARADE
Join our wagon for Deer Park's Settlers Day Parade

SATURDAY, JULY 25
Be a Part of This Historical Event and Celebrate with the Deer Park United Methodist Church

Ride the wagon or walk next to it, wave to the parade watchers and enjoy the music on the wagon during the parade!

Meet at 9 a.m. at the Deer Park United Methodist Church parking lot, 113 E. 2nd St. The wagon leaves the church at 9:15 a.m. to drive to the start of the parade at 10 a.m. on Weber, then work back to the church at the end of the parade.

We will be handing out candy from the wagon, but will not be able to throw it to parade observers.

Our tradition is to be cranking homemade ice cream as the parade takes place. Once the wagon returns back to the church, we will all enjoy the fresh-made ice cream!

Intersted? RSVP to Teri Sardinia at 509-998-5043 by 5 p.m., Friday, July 24.

Time to Fill the Backpacks Again!
BACK TO SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE

Many children start the school year without the basic supplies they need such as notebooks, pencils, backpacks, or crayons—simply because their families can’t afford them. This not only puts them at a disadvantage academically, but can also affect their confidence and sense of belonging in the classroom.

This school year, the Deer Park United Methodist Church has set a goal to fill 40 backpacks full of school goodies. It’s easy to give - just sponsor the contents of a single backpack by August 9, 2026! How does it work? Simple – sponsor the contents of a single backpack (backpacks are already supplied), and place them on the storage table in the Fellowship room by Sunday, August 9. The supplies will then be assembled and taken to the school district.

With your generosity, we ask that you provide the items below for a backpack:
• One set of washable markers (8 basic colors)
• One box of small crayons
• 2 pocket folders (vinyl or laminated, assorted colors)
• 2 large, purple & washable glue sticks • One 24-pack of #2 pencils
• One composition notebook (wide ruled, marbled)
• 3 spiral notebooks (wide-ruled, one subject, blue, green & red)
• One pencil pouch (heavy duty & not a box) • Fiskars scissors (5", blunt tip, ages 4+)
• One box of Kleenex (large box)
• One packet of Clorox wipes

“Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.” - Proverbs 22:6
