Worship

When Do We Worship?

The Deer Park UMC has an adult Sunday School at 9 a.m. every Sunday in the Fellowship Hall.  Worship services occur right after Sunday School, every Sunday, at 10 a.m. If you are unable to attend and would like to watch online, “real time” worship service can be accessed every Sunday at 10 a.m., at the following link ________________________.

What Kind of Service is Conducted?

The Deer Park UMC services incorporate hymns and modern worship, traditional and contemporary liturgy, and times of sweet fellowship in which we praise God for His rich blessings and pray for one another as we face life’s challenges side-by-side.

Baptismal Services

Baptisms are a cherished and extremely honored tradition of inducting new members to the Church as they begin their new journey to be at one with God. The Deer Park United Methodist Church practices both infant baptism, (believing that baptism is a sign of God's grace and love, which is available to all people, regardless of age; seen as a way of incorporating the child into the covenant community of the Church), and immersion baptism for all believers who are able to articulate their identification with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection (Romans 6).  For more information on this special service, please contact us at 509-276-2570 and/or send an e-mail to DPUMC@gmail.com.

Holy Communion

Methodist communion, also known as the Lord's Supper or the Eucharist, is a sacrament that celebrates the Last Supper Jesus shared with his disciples. Methodists believe that communion is a gift from God, and that it's open to everyone. The Deer Park UMC observes it in the first Sunday service of each month, 10 a.m. All who seek God are invited to participate share in the Lord’s table with us.
